On Sunday, the Yorkshire Family Celebrants team attended the Oulton Hall Wedding Fayre, held at the stunning Oulton Hall Hotel near Leeds. Set in beautiful countryside, just a short drive from Leeds city centre, Oulton Hall is a truly romantic wedding venue, complete with manicured grounds, a golf course and luxurious spa facilities.
From the moment you walk through the entrance, you’re greeted by an inviting and elegant atmosphere. The impressive chandeliers, classic interiors and sense of timeless romance make Oulton Hall a perfect setting for couples planning a Yorkshire wedding.
Meeting Engaged Couples & Fellow Wedding Suppliers
The wedding fayre was very well attended, and it was a pleasure to meet so many lovely couples at the start of their wedding planning journey – including two adorable dogs who were clearly part of the big day plans too!
We also enjoyed chatting with fellow wedding suppliers, all of whom were friendly, welcoming and supportive. Highlights included a very entertaining magician (with some brilliant stories to tell) and the beautiful live violin music from Bianca Blezard, which added a truly magical feel to the day.
A Small (and Funny) Wedding Fayre Moment
The only hiccup of the day came when James and I briefly stepped away from the table to speak with someone. On our return, my husband had momentarily deserted his post to watch some close-up magic a long-standing hobby of his! He was, thankfully, retrieved quickly and returned to celebrant duties.

We thoroughly enjoyed attending the Oulton Hall Wedding Fayre and meeting so many couples planning their weddings in Leeds and across Yorkshire. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to talk about personalised wedding ceremonies and how a celebrant-led wedding can truly reflect your story.
