Naming ceremonies can be held in any any location so this gives you exciting possibilities for your imagination to explore and pick a meaningful or favourite location special to you. For example, you could pick your own house or garden, a personal location or favourite venue.

Naming ceremonies are a popular way to welcome babies into a family and introduce them to your friends and community.

Meet Jessica

I will be there for your family and I enjoy celebrating families in all their forms. I enjoy meeting you and your family, finding out why you want to hold a naming ceremony, your ideas about what you really want and delivering you a bespoke ceremony to mark your special day. The ceremonies can be small and intimate or a larger gathering with your total personalisation. I enjoy helping you and being involved on your momentous day.

I have worked with babies all my life, in my medical career, so understand them pretty well by now! As well as being a mum of three grown up children and, now a grandmother to a wonderful little granddaugher, I always love being around babies so feel well suited to perform a naming ceremony for you.

My naming ceremonies include the following:

    A remote, no obligation, meeting to help you decide if I am the right celebrant for you.

    I will send you a booking form to secure the date and ask for a deposit.

    We will then arrange a face to face meeting to learn about the type of ceremony you would like, about your love story and baby and other children.

    I will write and perform a bespoke naming ceremony script with draft scripts and amendments along the way.

    I offer a rehearsal, at extra cost, if requested.

    I am available to discuss any concerns or queries along the way.

    I will deliver the ceremony and leave you a copy of the naming ceremony as a keepsake.
